The wait for Mahindra KUV100 code named as S101 is almost over. With only few more days to go the consumer is waiting for its grand launch. After the compact SUV from Renault, Ford, Nissan and Hyundai, Mahindra the Indian Automaker is also joining the small SUV crossover segment by announcing the launch of Mahindra KUV100 on Jan 15th 2016 in India. Now as the launch date is fast approaching one should see how Mahindra will manage to compete with its already established rivals in Indian Market. All that matters is how Mahindra KUV100 can attract the consumer towards it from other brands in performance, mileage, design and style. This surprise package is now ready to give a tough competition in near future.
Engine: This compact Mahindra KUV100 comes in two engine options. One is petrol mFALCON G80 with 1.2 litre petrol engine which claims to give power output of 82 bhp at 5500 rpm and torque of 114 Nm while the other is diesel mFALCON D75 with 1.2 litre diesel engine which claims to give power output of 77 bhp at 3725 rpm and torque of 190 Nm.
Exteriors: External body design looks very competitive and sporty. Mahindra S101 measures around 4-metre in length and looks to have good ground clearance. Though the size is as small as a car the stylish looks are no less than SUV. It has a sporty front look as in Mahindra XUV500.This has wing mirrors with blinkers, curvy roof line, wrap around tail lamps and head lamps with LED daytime running lamps and fog lamps. This compact size will help to fit the vehicle in small parking area and also to drive in traffic areas.
Interiors: As it is not known much about its interiors one can expect spacious interior design for a comfortable drive to keep itself in competition with other brands.
Colors: The Mahindra KUV100 comes in very attractive colors. It will be available in the following colors: Fiery Orange, Flamboyant Red, Dazzling Silver, Aquamarine, Pearl White, Designer Grey and Midnight Black.
Variants: As we know Mahindra KUV100 is available in Petrol & Diesel. We can find ABS (Anti-Lock Braking system) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution) and engine mobilize as standard in all variants. It has two base variants K2 & K2+ (with dual airbags), two mid variants K4 & K4+ (with dual airbags), two high variants K6 & K6+ (with dual airbags) and one top end variant K8 (with dual airbags).
